Sunday School at Immanuel Lutheran
The purpose of Immanuel Lutheran’s Sunday School is to support you in your Baptism promise. As you brought your child to Baptism, you were entrusted with responsibilities to help your child grow in Christian life and faith:
- Live with them among God’s people
- Bring them to the word of God and the Holy Supper
- Teach them the Lord ’s Prayer, the Creed and the Ten Commandments
- Place in their hands the Holy Scriptures
- Nurture them in faith and prayer
Butterfly Garden
In partnership with Partridge Creek Farms and with plant plugs from the Marquette County Conservation District, the kids planted a butterfly garden during Vacation Bible School in June. Included is a pesticide-free variety of wildflowers and grasses that provide nectar for a number of UP butterflies, but focuses on host plants and chrysalis support for their caterpillars. Milkweeds for monarchs are included, but many other butterflies need specific host plants, too.
